Gone are the days of the coveted, high-revving inline-4s in the 600cc class, with twin cylinders taking the center stage in recent years–but for the premium Italian marque, this isn't anything new.

Ask any track rider what Aprilia stands for, and you'll hear much of the same; its track-oriented screamers that break limits, and look stylish while doing it. Known mostly for its heavyweight grunt, their headliner, the <hyperlink>RSV4</hyperlink>, stands as a testament to this ethos. But behind the curtain, Aprilia hides some of its greatest feats of strength. Standing out amongst <hyperlink>a line of remarkable machines</hyperlink> is the RS660 - a homologation of a homologation, designed with track limits in mind.

Impressive Numbers

The 2025 version of the bike packs a peak of 105hp into a 660cc twin-cyl configuration. Revving out to a redline of 11,500 RPM, the the 270° crankshaft radiates a distinct sound, one resembling its older sister, the <hyperlink>Aprilia RSV4.</hyperlink.>

Between the engine and the rider rests a lightweight twin-spar aluminum frame. Fully laden, this nimble beast weighs out at a mere 183kg. Paired with this lower weight profile is a set of Brembo radial calipers at the front and rear. The radial design leads to more direct brake response and more even force distribution on the brake pads. The base RS660 features a preload adjustable Kayaba suspension system, while for those looking for a more exclusive finish, the Factory trim elevates this with a more focused, fully adjustable Öhlins suspension set on the front and rear, allowing for more modularity and adjustment for those much-needed track days.
